Mustang Team Rules

 

In order to achieve our goals, we all must be committed to adhering to a set of rules that will be applied evenly and fairly at all times to every member of the team.

 

1.  Mustangs will attend all practices and meets. Absence from practice or meets is only excused for illness, doctor’s appointment, or death in the immediate family. Mustang must bring a note signed by parent or doctor on the return day. Mustangs are dismissed from the team after the second unexcused absence.

 

2.  Mustangs will be on time to all practices and meets.  If a Mustang has academic responsibilities after school, he/she must then report immediately to practice with a note signed and timed by teacher.  Mustangs are dismissed from the team after the second unexcused late arrival.

 

3.  Mustangs will always be aware of the impact they might have on those around them.  Mustangs must always behave in a courteous, respectful, and dignified manner.  Mustangs will quietly carry out their responsibilities.  Mustangs who fail to act appropriately may be dismissed from the team at coaches’ discretion.

 

4.  Mustangs will not smoke or use alcohol or illicit drugs.  Mustangs who violate this rule will be immediately dismissed from the team.

 

5.  Mustangs will wear coach-approved uniforms, socks, and shoes. Mustangs will always maintain a neat, well-kept, and clean-cut appearance.

 

6.  Mustangs are limited to our team and sport during season.

 

7.  Injured Mustangs will attend all practices and meets with team.

 

8.  Mustangs must know their academic standing at all times.  If a Mustang is failing one or more classes, he/she must notify one of the coaches immediately. If he/she does not notify immediately or correct failing grades within 2 weeks, he/she will be dismissed from the team.

 

9.  Mustangs must also follow all state, county, and school rules.
